the teams advance experience

The TEAMS Advance Experience is all hands on deck and involves the team of your organization's choice. Employees and leadership are trained together or separately, it's completely up to you. This training is a full day session* filled with interactive learning activities.

*Depending on the size of the organization or business, training can be extended to multiple days.

Training

The TRAINING pillar provides clients with the who, what, where, and when, of the training. Prior to the training, we will have already gotten to know each other, and Erica will know your specific needs and the areas you are most interested in learning more about. Participants will be informed about the training layout, content, and objectives. Together, we will discuss how the five knowledge pillars will apply to you and your workplace needs.

Education

​The EDUCATION pillar is the foundation for the work ahead. Whether you are familiar with disability background and culture, or you are new to the topic, we will walk through each aspect defining many terms and background details related to disability.

Accountability

We can only control our own behavior. Therefore, we must accept responsibility for our actions and reactions. The ACCOUNTABILITY pillar is where we do the work and dig deep to see what it is we really think about disability and why. Discussion and activities in this section allow participants to learn about their biases, and how different attitudes affect the life experiences of people with disabilities.

Maintenance

What is hard work, effort and change worth if we don't keep it going? This is where the MAINTENANCE pillar comes in. After working through the first three knowledge pillars, the next step is to make a plan. This is done by identifying opportunities to apply the training to your specific workplace needs. The plan will include new goals for your organization with strategies to help maintain them.

Sustainable Solutions

Last, but never least, you want all the work you have done to stay for the long term. The SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS pillar allows us to discuss and reflect on the pre-work and see what progress has been made. Your team will work together to create concrete guidelines to be followed to ensure an inclusive and accessible experience for individuals with disabilities.
